    Professional Designed Banner

    Professional Designed Banner
In this Photoshop tutorial I’m going to show u how to create professional designed banner for your designs.
So, in the beginning you should create a new document, sized 500×300 pixels and fill it with white color.
    Professional Designed Banner 01
Then select the Rectangle Tool (Radius: 5 px) to make a shape with color of #6d9e1e as on my picture below.
    Professional Designed Banner 02
After that apply Gradient Overlay layer style to this layer.

    The result should be next:
    Professional Designed Banner 04
Ok, move to the next step. Time to create “header” for our banner. Press Ctrl + left click the layer thumbnail in the layers palette to make banner shape selection, then use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to cut the part of selection. Holding Alt button cut the lower part as shown on my picture below. After that fill remaining part with white color.
    Professional Designed Banner 05
Remove selection with Ctrl+D, after that change layer mode to Overlay and set opacity up to 20%.
    Professional Designed Banner 06
Ok, move to the next step. I would like to add some graphic element to our header. Go to Google Images and find some appropriate picture which you want to add. It doesn’t matter what picture it will be. It depends only from banner subject area. As for me, I prefer to use the picture of alarm, which you can download from here. Open up this picture and copy it to our main canvas. After that press Ctrl+T to reduce the picture a little bit.
    Professional Designed Banner 07
Apply Sharpen Tool to make the object a little bit more sharpen.
    Professional Designed Banner 08
Ok, move to the next step. Get out the Horizontal Type Tool and write out the title for header.
    Professional Designed Banner 09
In the above image I’ve used Myraid Pro as my font of choice, and I’ve used the white color. Actually, it is commercial, but if you don’t have it, you can easily find a good alternative. After that apply Drop Shadow layer style to this text layer.

    See the result below:

Ok, we are done with header. After that I would like to add a few design elements more to our banner. Select theCustom Shape Tool and select one of standard Photoshop shapes which you can see on the picture below.
    Professional Designed Banner 12
Add two shapes with white color to our banner.
    Professional Designed Banner 13
Merge two of these shapes in one layer. Now we need to cut all the part out of banner area. How we can do this? Press Ctrl+ left click the banner shape layer thumbnail in the layers palette to make banner shape selection and then invert this selection with Ctrl+Shift+I. Then press Delete to clear selected area.
    Professional Designed Banner 14
Remove selected area with Ctrl+D. And now try to mess with the layer mode & opacity/fill. I tried Soft Light with opacity of 20%.
    Professional Designed Banner 15
Now we need to clean banner header from these elements. Use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to make selection as on my picture below and press Delete to clear selected area.
    Professional Designed Banner 16
Deselect chosen area with Ctrl+D again and add more text with Horizontal Type Tool. Use white color for the text again.
    Professional Designed Banner 17
Time to add the last one text. But before that I want to put some substrate under. Use the Rounded Rectangle Tool (Radius: 2 px) and add the shape using the color of #69990d.
    Professional Designed Banner 18
Now, use the Horizontal Type Tool to add the text on substrate.
    Professional Designed Banner 19
Ok, we are done with this tutorial. Now we have professional designed banner. It looks nice, isn’t it?
